Lindley Activities Sunday May 18,2014

May 2012 Armed Forces Day

At 2 P.M. on Sunday May 18th, the Tioga County, Pennsylvania Honor Guard will return for the 6th year to honor past and present local service men and women from the 5 Military Branches of the United States in an Armed Forces Day Ceremony at the Lindley Town Hall on the new Rt. 115 (formerly U.S. Rt.15).

The speaker will be local Veteran and businessman, Dennis Smith.

The ceremony includes placing a wreath at the Veteran's Monument, Riffle Salute and Taps. A social time and refreshments follow the ceremony.
The event is free and open to the public.

Lindley - Presho Fire Hall 2002

On Sunday May 18th., 2014 The Lindley-Presho Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Chicken B-BQ at the Fire Hall on Tannery Creek Rd.  from 12 noon until sold out.

We hope you will have lunch at the Fire Hall to help support the Firemen; then visit the Town Hall for the ceremony that honors those who have served our country in the Military Services.

Don't forget to take the Presho or Lawrenceville exits on the new 4 lane U.S. 15. Unfortunately, they are the only exits that now serve the Town of Lindley.

The good thing with only local traffic, it is now much quieter and safer on the former U.S Rt. 15 through Lindley.

Hope to see you on Sunday May 18th. for these events..
